What is the Giving Protocol?
We direct yield from Yield Generating Tokens to charities accepting cryptocurrencies
How do I participate?
We currently accept yyCRV tokens. The contract tracks your yCRV balance, and returns that amount of yCRV to you when you withdraw, with a 0.5% donation with every withdrawal to discourage potential gaming of the system.
What is the GG token?
The GG (Giving Governance) is a token which is not pre-mined, nor sold to early investors, and can only be obtained by depositing your yield tokens into the Giving Protocol's donation pools, and donating your yield.

It is planned to be used only for governance. Governance is empowered to create new tokens for new pools, as well as set binding onchain parameters and other new directions for the protocol.
How does Governance work in the Giving Protocol?
A minimally viable governance is launched, which is given control of the GG token. A new governance contract is then tested and deployed onto mainnet.

GG token holders then vote whether or not to pass the new governance contract to be the new controlling governance contract. On passing, it can be executed after a governance controlled delay.
